SEPTA Trolley Construction Advisory

Starting the week of March 17, SEPTA construction crews will begin a multi-month renewal of the corroded and broken trolley rail on 42nd Street between Spruce Street and Woodland Avenue. 

Lasting through May 31, this project will result in a detour of the Route 30 trolley, as well as rolling traffic and parking restrictions in the work area (intersections will not be impacted). All SEPTA trolley lines will operate in the tunnel throughout the project duration. 

During this time frame, Penn Bus West will post routing updates on the PennTransit Mobile app and Penn’s Department of Public Safety will issue traffic advisories as needed.
