Penn Transit's integrated transportation system provides effective, efficient, and safe transit on and around campus within specific service boundaries at no charge for those with a PennCard.
Our Mobile App Makes Planning Your Trip Easy
Penn Transit Riders can use the PennTransit Mobile app to plan their rides. The app provides the current location and estimated arrival times of all buses and shuttles. It also allows you to schedule a ride on our evening shuttles. All Penn Community members with PennKey credentials should download the app in order to submit a ride request.
Penn Buses
Penn’s three campus-based fixed-route buses (West, East, and North) operate Monday through Friday from 4 PM to 12 AM, year-round except for holidays observed by the University. A fourth fixed-route bus now travels between campus and the Pennovation Works facility weekdays from 8 AM to 6 PM.
Passengers need only show their PennCards to ride Penn Bus for free. Penn Bus will pick up and deliver passengers only at designated Transit Stops on campus, and at certain intersections with a stop sign or traffic light along its off-campus route.

Penn Evening Shuttles
Penn Transit operates an evening shuttle service, which provides transportation free of charge to and from campus pickup locations to any address within the service boundaries.
Penn Accessible Transit
Penn Accessible Transit (PAT) provides transportation within service boundaries for persons with disabilities. To obtain pre-approval to use PAT, contact the Office of Affirmative Action (OAS) (215-898-6993). if you are faculty or staff. Students should contact the Office of Student Disabilities Services (SDS) (215-572-9235).
FMC On-Demand Shuttle
This service provides a convenient option for those needing to travel between Penn offices at the FMC Tower and campus, weekdays between 8 AM and 6 PM. Riders with valid PennCards can request a shuttle to or from FMC Tower via the PennTransit Mobile app.
