Penn Transit's Evening Safety Shuttle

Penn Transit operates an Evening Safety Shuttle ride-share service, which provides transportation free of charge on weeknights from 7:30 PM-3 AM and weekends from 6:30 PM-3 AM.

Passengers need to show their PennCards to board the shuttle and may bring up to two guests with them. Penn Evening Shuttles operate year-round except for University holidays.

Note that wait times may vary due to ride-share demand. Penn Bus is often a faster option. Use the "Trip Planner" feature in PennTransit Mobile to find your best route in real time.

Where Does the Evening Safety Shuttle Travel?

The Evening Safety Shuttle travels both on and off-campus within Penn Transit's service boundaries.

Requests that originate and/or end on campus (light section of the map) must start or finish at a Penn Transit stop.

Requests that originate and/or end off-campus (gray section of the map) are picked up and/or dropped off at a requested address.

Request a ride in the PennTransit Mobile app by tapping the "On Demand" feature and following the prompts.

For added convenience, Penn Walking Escorts are available 24/7 to accompany you to or from any campus location, including transit stops. Request one by calling 215-898-WALK (9255) or use a campus blue-light or building ePhone.

Note that a valid ride request for on-campus travel must be for at least a 1/2 mile.
