Penn Transit Route Changes Coming Oct. 1
Effective Tuesday, October 1, changes will be made to Penn Transit’s Pennovation Works and FMC Tower routes.
Based on ridership data, these updates will lead to more efficient service for Penn constituents who travel to these campus-adjacent locations.
FMC Tower
The FMC Tower fixed shuttle route will switch to an on-demand service. Riders will be able to schedule shuttle trips as needed using the On Demand feature of the PennTransit Mobile app.
Pennovation Works
The Pennovation Works on-demand shuttle service will switch to a fixed Penn Bus route that runs on a continuous loop. Trackable in real time on the PennTransit Mobile app, this route will adhere to a time schedule and pick up/drop off riders at the following Penn Transit stops:
- Pennovation Works Complex
- HUP 33rd St.
- David Rittenhouse Labs (DRL)
- Franklin’s Table
- Penn Bookstore
- Pottruck Health & Fitness Center
- Hill Pavilion
Service to both locations will continue to run Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 6 PM.
As always, Penn Transit trips are free of charge to PennCard and Pennovation Works cardholders.
