Penn Park: New Way to Pay

A new ticket-activated gate is making payment easier and faster for visitors at the Penn Park parking lot, located at 3000 Walnut Street (31st and Lower Walnut). Here’s how the system works.

  • When you enter: Pull up to the entrance gate and touch the screen to take a ticket. You must scan this ticket to exit the lot.
  • Pro tip: For the fastest exit, scan the QR code on the ticket when you’re ready to leave (you have 60 minutes between payment and exit time).
  • When you exit: Scan the ticket and see your total on the screen.
    • If you’ve already paid via QR code, the gate will automatically rise.
    • If you haven’t paid, insert or tap a credit or debit card where indicated. The gate will rise upon payment.

Please note, Penn Park daily rates have adjusted to:

  • $4 per hour, up to 5 hours
  • Monday-Friday: $22 flat rate*, 5+ hours
  • Saturday-Sunday: $18 flat rate*, 5+ hours

Penn Park is accessible to visitors on a first-come, first-served basis.

Email Parking@upenn.edu with questions.

*Rate resets daily at 12 AM.
