Museum Garage Renovation
JULY 2, 2026: The Museum Garage is currently undergoing extensive renovations. Here's what to keep in mind when you park at this facility.
Project objectives
This project will repair spalling concrete and exposed reinforcement steel. Temporary support and protection barriers will be installed during the process.
What you’ll soon see
Repair activities will occur in designated areas and shift throughout the garage. Traffic will be redirected around construction activities including near the hospital walkway. Pedestrian traffic may also be impacted near elevator lobbies.
Please pay careful attention to the signed detour paths around rolling work zones. Signage will clearly outline temporary walkways. Additionally, please be mindful of vehicle speed as workers move throughout the garage.
Vehicle height clearance
At the conclusion of this project, the overhead clearance of the garage will change to a height of 6 feet, which is standard clearance for most consumer vehicles.
Parking is available at Curie Blvd (Garage 44) for permit holders who would like to relocate as a result of this new clearance; please contact us at parking@upenn.edu.
We appreciate your continued patience as we complete these important improvements. Please contact parking@upenn.edu with any questions.
